we will talk to the Rev. Greg Clark of the Hertford Baptist Church.

Yes, we will discuss the importance of the celebration but we will go beyond that for a program
that will mix inspiration with fun. And, there will be appropriate music by master guitarist, Steve Raisor,
who has performed with such well-known folk as Kathy Mattea.

A good Christmas background. Travis Clark joins us - yes - the preacher’s son — the preachers talented son.

He joins Steve Raisor with some carols, popular seasonal tunes, and a few surprises. It all adds up to a show that is fun, laid-back, and the perfect accompaniment for Christmas celebrations. Tune in - you will enjoy.

Enjoy this magical show we hope that it provides you some peace and happiness during this holiday season.

In addition to Frankly Speaking join “Carmen Allgood” your host of The Colorado Wave for her very Special Holiday Show and Don’t miss the Bobby J Christmas Special see TUNE in.

About your host “Carmen Allgood”:

Just for the record, more than 15,000 independent artists have been featured on The Colorado Wave, with a lot more to come. Check it out! Submit your own music for airplay. Tell somebody already! This is YOUR music we’re playing here… MUSIC SUBMISSION INFO is on our BandBiz page, go there.

I also produce the Indie Music Wave and co-host the Indie Traffic Jam with my good buddies, John Anderson (On The Horizon Radio Network) and Mark Maverick (Station Manager Indie 104 iradioLA.com, named Best Internet Station 2006 and 2007!!!). The Wave is syndicated nationally and carried by more than 100 affiliates. They said it couldn’t be done.

Meanwhile, since we are all one, this is really about us. Personally (for those who are interested) I love and support independent music, and have been producing homegrown music shows for radio broadcast for 21 odd years…right now I’ll say I was the first DJ to do this, until someone comes along to change that…

I teach and study Love and am a Loveologist…this energy is of prime interest to all of us, and I’m more than curious about how Love operates and functions.

Here is the Answer to what confronts us today. Hope everyone is having a great moment…BTW, my name isn’t really The Colorado Wave…you can call me Carmen. That’s the subject of our book expert, Melanie James. She also talks about the value of publications autographed by the writers. Other subjects are the multitudinous books from Dr. Seuss.

Carolina Moon is the passion (well, aside from husband and child) of Melanie James, attorney at law and bibliomaniac. In 2003, Melanie and her husband bought a building to house their businesses. It was a rather large building, offering far more space than needed for offices. The bibliomaniac seized the moment and the additional space (notwithstanding objections of husband), fulfilling a long-standing dream of owning a bookstore, and thus launching a second career.

Why Carolina Moon?

In 1928, Benny Davis was inspired by the moon over the Perquimans River to pen the words to “Carolina Moon.” It has been recorded by many artists over the years including Perry Como, Connie Frances, and Maureen McGovern. So there is local history associated with the name.

Also on today’s show Wanda Stiles joins Frank, Wanda is a collection specialist at the Museum of the Albemarle. She talks about her fascinating job, and discusses some of the events of import at the prestigious museum.

Located in Elizabeth City, NC, the Museum of the Albemarle is the northeastern regional branch of the North Carolina Museum of History. Serving thirteen counties in northeastern North Carolina, the Museum allows visitors to explore the history of the oldest section of North Carolina, many times considered the birthplace of English America.

“When it comes to musicians, some are known as great singers, others are great players and others great songwriters. Livingston Taylor is all three! Songs he’s sung &/or written include: I’LL COME RUNNIN’, CAROLINA DAY and I WILL BE IN LOVE WITH YOU. With a career spanning four decades this music veteran, the kid brother of pop-folk superstar JAMES TAYLOR, is an ultimate crowd pleaser.”

Taylor’s break occurred when he was discovered by Jon Landau, (a record producer who would later go on to manage Bruce Springsteen). Taylor was one of the first artists to sign with Capricorn Records in 1970. His debut album, Livingston Taylor, produced by Landau, included the song “Carolina Day,” an original, personal song which helped set the tone for Taylor’s intimate and laid-back musical style. Visit Livingston’s website and listen to his great music.
